Based in New York City, I work in law, technology, and their intersection.
A former corporate attorney, I started my career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore after graduating from the University of Western Australia and Harvard Law School. I launched Clickwrapped, a service that reviews major consumer websites according to how well they respect users' rights (COVERAGE: The Next Web, TIME.com). I also write about these issues (e.g. VentureBeat).
I also work on my own startups, primarily in the travel sector. I am currently the co-founder of TripExpert, described by The New York Times as "Kayak for hotel reviews". I also founded EveryLodge, a travel sale aggregator (TechCrunch, Chicago Tribune, USA Today).
In addition to my occasional writings about technology and privacy issues (see above), I am in the early stages of writing a book about technology and media; more details to be posted soon to a separate website.
